Recently, as the importance of investigation on the soft ground is increasing in Korea, various investigation techniques are being introduced and applied.
Particularly, various characteristics of the ground can be distinguished precisely by using Piezocone penetration test. Also, the division of stratum and various results can be acquired, which are depth consistent, through the continuous measurement. Therefore, Piezocone penetration test is being widely used both domestically and in the outside of the country.
Therefore, comparative studies based on different test objects should be conducted including characteristics of the site in order to estimate reliable Piezocone factor. Also, in order to utilize the results of Piezocone penetration tests properly, Piezocone factors should be estimated by using the results of Piezocone penetration tests conducted in the domestic sites.
In this study, laboratory tests and field tests were performed to find the characteristics of soft ground that are widely distributed around Siwha lake. A comparative analysis of these tests with Piezocone penetration test was performed.
