유아종교교육과 가정의 역할 연구 : 교회문헌을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 유아종교교육을 위해서 가정의 역할이 얼마나 중요한지를 교회문헌을 통해서 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 유아기는 인격의 대부분이 형성되는 중요한 시기이다. 따라서 하느님의 모상으로 창조된 한 인간이 하느님을 알고 참된 그리스도인으로 성장하도록 교육할 때 유아기는 결정적인 시기라고 할 수 있다. 특별히 유아들은 첫 번째 학교인 가정에서 첫 번째 교사인 부모로부터 많은 영향을 받는다. 유아종교교육에 있어서 부모의 신앙이 곧 유아의 신앙이 되기 때문에 가정의 역할은 중요하다.
가톨릭교회에서 가정은 혼인으로 맺어진 부부에 의해 형성되며 자녀 출산과 양육 그리고 부부사랑을 목적으로 한다. 가정은 생명과 사랑의 공동체이고, 사회적 삶을 위한 기초공동체이며, 가정교회로서 교회의 사명을 수행한다.
유아들은 자신들에게 맞는 특별한 배려를 통해 종교교육을 받을 권리가 있는 중요한 존재이다. 유아들의 종교교육에 있어서 가정의 역할은 독특한 우월성을 가지며 부모는 교육에 대한 본질적인 권리와 의무가 있다. 이러한 부모의 교육 역할은 대치되거나 양도될 수 없는 것이고 타인이 완전히 위임받거나 빼앗을 수 없다. 그러므로 부모는 말과 모범으로 자녀들에게 신앙을 전달하여야 한다. 부모는 가정이 복음을 실천하고 신앙 안에서 성장하면서 복음화의 공동체가 되도록 하고, 부모들이 기도하는 모습을 통해 유아들이 기도의 자세와 중요성을 배울 수 있도록 기도하는 공동체를 형성하여야 한다. 또한 유아들이 전체 교회의 전례 기도에 참여할 수 있도록 이끌어 줌으로써 종교교육을 할 수 있다.
교회는 인간존재로서의 유아와 그의 부모를 포함한 가정에 대한 이해와 사목적 배려차원에서 교회의 진정한 보살핌을 실행해야 한다. 유아들을 위한 종교교육이 이루어지기 위해서는 유아들에 대한 우선적 배려와 함께 그 부모와 가정에 대한 배려가 동시에 이루어져야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This dissertation researches how important the role of home is for the early childhood religious education, by surveying on the Church Document. The early childhood is the extremely significant period in which the most of personality is built up.
In the aspect of education, this juncture is determinative for infants to grow up as a true Christian and in knowledge that human is created as the resemblance of God. In particular, preschool children are very much influenced by their first teachers, parents, in their first school, home. In the religious education for the early childhood, the role of home is very important because the faith of parents usually becomes that of the preschool children.
In the Catholic Church, a home is formed by husband and wife who are coupled by marriage, and aims at the love between the wedded couple. The home is a community of life and love, and a basic one for social life, and carries out the mission as a home church.
The preschool children are human-being who have right to get the religious education upon special caring suitable for them. In the religious education for infants and toddlers, the role of home has the unique superiority and parents have essential right and duty. The role of parents in the education is something that can not be replaced or endorsed, and that other people can not deprive or be totally delegated.
Therefore, parents should deliver their faith as an exemplar and by their speaking. They should make a home an evangelic community with practicing gospel and by growing in their faith and form a community of prayers. In such an environment, their children would learn the attitude and importance of the prayer. Also, parents can educate religion by leading their children to the liturgical prayer of the Universal Church.
The Church should heartily take care of the home which includes the preschool children and their parents, based on special attention and understandings. To realize the religious education for the preschool children, the caring for the parents and the home should be specially considered together with the preferential attention for the preschool children.
