This study aimed at theoretical establishment through investigation and analysis regarding social responsibility and social contribution activities of Yuhan-Kimberly. Doctor Il Han Yu, who was founder of Yuhan, said "Profit gained from enterprise should be converted to the society which grew its enterprise". Such enterpriser spirit of Doctor Il Han Yu was selected at Yuhan-Kimberly, and another purpose of this study also aims at verification whether it is achieved with practical enterprise action. Theoretical frame of this study was the application of affirmative concentrative theory scholars of social responsibility such as Walton(C.C), Berle(A.A), Regan (M.D), Clark(J.M) ets. As the result this study, it was found that CEO of Yuhan Kimberly completed the social responsibilities as the following. Result such as social reform responsibilities like social service, social conscious-nessetc such as ⑴ Responsibility of development and growth of enterprise, ⑵ Responsibility of welfare improvement of employees, ⑶ Interest adjustment responsibility of interest-related persons group, ⑷ Responsibility of environment pollution prevention, ⑸ Tree planting green rivers & mountains movement etc was shown.
Particularly, as social contribution activity, Yuhan Kimberly contributes greatly toward social activities for protection of forest and environment being respected from neighborhood, and result shows that Yuhan expands culture, social welfare, voluntary service activity, scholarship business, research support business, industrial-academic business etc actively. But problems also are occurring. Successor cultivation problem, self appropriation problem of social cost, namely, environment pollution prevention cost, waste disposal cost, environment pollution compensation cost, environmental laws, social cost burden of environment system relation etc are being faced with difficultes. But regarding social appraisal of enterprise, ⑴ as public interest enterprise which keeps life and forest, ⑵ as environment leading enterprise, ⑶ as ethics, transparent enterprise, ⑷ as management reform enterprise, ⑸ market share ratio 1st rank in all fields, as customer satisfaction enterprise, and it is reputed as ultra humankind enterprise in productivity, quality and safety degree.
