Today, many corporations have used Information Systems to achieve competitive advantage and respond rapidly to customer service against competitors. But most of cases fail to maintain initial stage of system usage, because the usage of information systems is decreasing as time passed by. While there are many reasons such downturn of systems usage, this study will analyze how to improve intention to use of information systems through enhancing usage environment and usefulness in new technology acceptance of personal perspective.
Researches on tendency of using new technology by adopting Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) have been discussed widely and actively, however, many researches are focusing on improving intention to use with usefulness and easy to use in non-voluntary information systems. Recently, Internet technology has not only provided versatile opportunities to general users but also changed to Corporate Information Systems'(CIS) users. Users using CIS with browsing and component functionality of Internet technology can build and utilize information systems by themselves.
As a result of empirical test on Intranet systems, we prove that voluntary CIS with personalization can increase usefulness and easiness of systems use, change technology adoption attitude and improve intention to use sequentially. This study suggests necessary personalization variables and model for voluntary CIS to developers when we need to build voluntary CIS.
