韓國近代工業技術의 發達過程 : 纖維工業을 中心으로 = Development Process of Modern Industrial Technology in Korea - in Textile Industries -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리나라 근대공업기술의 발전 과정을 1890년대부터 1950년대까지 섬유공업을 중심으로 고찰하였다.
17세기 말부터 일어난 實學思想으로부터 1890년대 말의 開化思想에 의하여 공업 기술의 중요성을 인지한 先人들의 모습과 이를 실천하기 위한 공업기술교육의 實施노 력을 관립상공학교와 관립공업전습소 설립 및 운영과정에서 살펴보았다. 또한 공업기 술의 중요성을 계몽하기 위한 홍보는 1910년대에는 월보 “공업계”로 시작하였는데 이 것은 기술사상 자체를 전 국민에게 계몽, 전파하기 위한 것이었다. 이에 더 나아가 1920년대에는 잡지 “공우”, “산업계”, “실업”, “과학조선” 등에서 自由, 平等및 解放정 신의 昻揚과 더불어 기술발전을 도모해야 한다고 주장한 정신을 살필 수 있었다.
이러한 實學思想에 기초를 둔 우리의 투쟁정신이 계승되어 8.15 해방과 6.25 사변 등의 어려운 상황에서도 공업기술자들이 국가발전을 위하여 헌신하고 기술발전에의 열의를 다하여 오늘의 발전된 공업기술의 수준에 이르게 한 과정을 살펴보았다

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Development process of modern industrial technology from 1890's to 1950's in Korea was investigated focusing on textile industries.
From the Silhak(Realism, or Practical Learning) movement which occurred in the late 17th century and the Enlightenment Thought movement in the late 19th century in Joesun dynasty, the importance of industrial technology began to be recognized and understood.
The efforts to set out the technology education and the education system in the early industrial technology stages were investigated and discussed in prospective of national need and patriotism.
The importance of industrial technology was enlightened both in 1910's and 1920's through monthly publications. Specifically, in 1910's the idea was on focusing only the technology campaign but in 1920's the focus was on the freedom, equality, and liberation of Korean people with technology development.
This nation-wide spirit was the key core for the restoration and development of Korean industry through and after both 8.15 Liberation and 6.25 Civil War. The enthusiasm of the Korean technologists and engineers originated from the Silhak movement to enhance the technology level resulted in great industrial development as seen in 2010.
