북한문학에 반영된 한국 현대사 연구 - 주요 역사적 사건을 통한 남북한 문학의 비교론적 관점을 중심으로 = A Study on Korean Modern History Reflected in North Korean Literature

  So far, it is true that the research on North Korea and North Korean literature has been in progress and made quite a improvement in terms of both quality and quantity. This is accompanied by the activation of interchange between North and South Korea in various fields, and by the opening of North Korean resource. However, The reason that this research on North Korea is limited on North Korea itself is inconvenienced. It could enlarge its focus onto the change in the relationship between South and North Korea, and the literary efficiency of looking into the possibility of national unification. It is the same for the study on North Korean literature. Until now, the instance of studying the intertwined relationship and comparison between North and South Korea is very rare.<BR>  This research reflects this contemporary demand in literature. It also brings forward the result of this demand. The examination of historical events in modem Korea that is shown in North Korean literature, and the boundary between South and North Korean literature along with the interpretation and comparison is tremendously meaningful.<BR>  This dissertation deals with the acceptance of historical events in modem Korea that are shown in North Korean literature. For this purpose, first, we look at the characteristic construction and direction of "core literature," which is the main focus of North Korean literature. Then, we discuss the details of historical events in modern Korea shown in North Korean literature. This dissertation narrates the research possibility of comparison between South and North Korean literature in terms of various historical events such as deliverancial space in North Korean literature, Cheiu 4.3 incident and "South Chosun deliverance narration," 6.25 riot reflected in North Korean literature, and 4.19 uprising.<BR>  This study is important for reassurance of historical incidents happened in Korean peninsula and the different view on these from South and North Korea. It is also crucial for the benefit of understanding the actual circumstance of South and North Korean relationship. Moreover, it allows us to see the process of the introduction and acceptance of those actual incidents into the mental realm of North Korean people by looking at those from implicative view and by considering the literary expressions. Besides, we could even set up a thoerical foundation that will be able to oversee the future relationship of South and North Korea, especially in its cultural exchange and cultural unification.
