In this dissertation, I discuss the fundamental questions of finite and infinite of being through the evolution of the bodies of my artworks through the years. This study is focused on expression in immediate visual language according to the time flow and environment in researcher’s work and life. Through my works of art, one is able to observe the direct and indirect influences – that of an individual or the societal influence, and my aspirations for life reflected in my artworks. These themes and my understanding of these problems form a multiplex of emotions or resemblance of human faces within repetitive lines and patterns in the works. This contrast between abstraction and figuration can be recognized as visualization of consciousness or the unconscious. In my work, I have attempted to investigate these ideas and form a philosophical, art historical and cognitive science connections. I have identified three major periods in the evolution of my artworks, which are: pen drawing, digital painting, and traditional painting. These divide into the First period (2005~2010), the Second period (2010~2015) and the Third period (2015~2017). I intend to analyze the progress of my visual language through studies of my life experiences. The fundamental irony of life and death, which is inevitable, seeps into the artworks that reflect the conflict of one’s anxiety and ideal way of living in modern times. The meaning is hidden in the expression of my artistic language which flows through time and grows with my experiences. It is necessary to accept both, the positive and negative sides of every moment and emotions with an open mind. These experiences transform into something different during one’s moment of unawareness. It is significant for me to open up the possibilities of my work continuously and infinitely, expanding the area in various ways of its endless relationships and find these moments of unconscious awareness.
