This study was designed to measure skin irritation caused by infant's clothing and this was related to the attitude of the consumers. Survey and recognizality of clothing skin lesion were studied by the survey method. In the surrey the subjects were 146 mother's that had their babies aged 0 to 2 years and lived in Seoul. The statistical methods were used simple frequency and ANOVA-test.

From the survey study most respondents(76.4%) experienced the dermatological problems after using the infant's apparel goods. This investigation was conducted on the injury cases that were casued by commercial articles related with the clothing habits.
About 36.5% of the various symptoms were skin irritation rashes and the allergic skin lesions. There were some instances in which formaldehyde was detected excess of the controlled level. 12.3% of the questioned were lacking in adequate knowledge of skin lesions caused by clothing and paying little attention to newspaper items referring to them and only 17% of the questioned have taken some measures against such causes.
