이광정의 사단칠정론 특징 = A characteristics of Lee Kwang-jeong's Sadanchiljeong theory

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 이광정(1714~1789)의 사단칠정론 특징을 고찰한 것이다. 이광정의 사단칠정론 특징은 혼륜과 분개의 두 관점을 종합하는데 있다. 예컨대 『중용』 · 「악기」· 「호학론」의 내용은 모두 혼륜의 관점에서 말한 것이고, 주자·이황의 사단/理發과 칠정/氣發의 내용은 분개의 관점에서 말한 것이다. 이렇게 볼 때, 이광정의 사단칠정론은 기대승처럼 성은 하나로 보면서도, 이황처럼 정은 사단/이발과 칠정/기발로 구분하고자 하였음을 알 수 있다.
성이 하나임을 혼륜의 관점에서, 정(사단과 칠정)이 서로 다름을 분개의 관점에서 설명함으로써 혼륜(성)과 분개(정)의 두 관점을 종합한다. 이것이 바로 이황의 이론과도 다르고 기대승의 이론과도 다른 이광정의 사단칠정론 특징이며, 동시에 이광정이 이황과 기대승의 이론을 종합 · 절충한 것으로도 말할 수 있다.

This paper examines the characteristics of the Sadanchiljeong theory by Lee Kwang-jeong(1714-1789). Lee Kwang-jeong's Sadanchiljeong theory of characteristics is synthesis the two perspectives of combining and sharing. For example, the contents of the ≪Jungyong≫ · ≪Akgi≫ and ≪Hohakron≫ are all said from the perspective of combining, and the contents of Zhuja and Yi Hwang's Sadan/Libal and Chiljeong/Gibal are said from the perspective of sharing.
When you look at it like this, it can be seen that Lee Kwang-jeong's theory of Sadanchiljeong “like Yi Hwang” was Jeong was intended to be divided into a Sadan/Libal and Chiljeong/Gibal, while “like Ki Dae-seung” was viewed as one Sung. By explaining that there is one Sung from the point of view of combining and the difference of Jeong from the point of view of sharing, the two points of view of combining(Sung) and sharing(Jeong) are synthesized. This is a characteristic of Lee Gwang-jeong's Sadanchiljeong theory, which is different from Lee Hwang's theory and Ki Dae-seung's theory, and at the same time, it can be said that Lee Gwang-jeong synthesized and compromised the theory of Yi Hwang and Ki Dae-seung.
