Sir John Hibbert stated that he was in communication with the Secretary for Scotland, and he trusted the question would shortly reach a satisfactory stage.-- Later on, Dr MacGregor asked the Secretary for Scotland whether, considering the great distress now prevailing in many parts of the highlands and islands of Scotland, the Government will, this session, so amend the law relating to salmon fisheries as to allow to the people the use and benefit of atleast a portion of this natural food supply. </AbsText>
