<소운뎐>의 서사(敍事) 재창작(再創作) 양상 = Aspect of Re-creation in the <Sounjeon> Narrative

In this paper, aspect of re-creation in the <Sounjeon> narrative was examined by focusing on original elements and literary values shown in narrative form, plot, focus of narrative, and theme. The following facts were revealed through this study. (1) <Sounjeon> was adapted from <Suzhixianluoshanzaihe>, a colloquial Chinese short story. However, this work converted written language from colloquial Chinese to Korean. (2) Also in terms of plot, first, as a result of attempting to link actions of characters by causal relationships, characters became more lifelike with new personalities. The work was equipped with a more precise structure based on a new logical structure. Second, the narrative was newly composed of reverse chronology, creating curves in the narrative for readers to have increased interest, continued doubts, and immersion in the narrative. Third, composition of three-generation chronicle was taken using <Sohyeonseongrok> as reference. At the same time, the role of women was expanded to express greater self-consciousness of women and sense of noble families, reforming as a new family novel work. Fourth, some passages were elaborated to add new contents while closely associating them with the main story, as in Nangyosokhyeon. (3) In terms of focus of narrative and theme, <Sounjeon> added a new narrative on relationship between man and woman in addition to separation of family and strange reunion. Aspect of conflict also changed to convert the focus of narrative, and theme was changed to emphasis on faith and giving. In conclusion, <Sounjeon> is a work that had been re-created through extensive adaption in narrative form, plot, focus of narrative, and theme. The work successfully materialized a unique theme based on new focus of narrative and plot by modifying or adding originalities to a narrative form different from <Suzhixianluoshanzaihe>. Besides, <Sounjeon> excel the original work in novel esthetic`s dimension through improve the literary perfection degree, for example, elaborate composition, embody new taste in narrative, reinforce narrative`s popularity etc.
