사잇소리 경음화에 대한 발음 교육 방안 연구 - 중국인 학습자를 대상으로 - = A Study on Pronunciation Teaching Method for the 'sai-sori gyeong-eumhua' - For Chinese learners -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국어와 중국어는 서로 다른 언어 체계에 속하므로 여러 방면에서 차이를 드러낸다. 특히 한국어의 발음에 있어 표기와 실제 발음의 불일치 현상은 한국어를 공부하는 중국인 학습자에게 큰 장애가 된다. 아무리 자음과 모음을 정확하게 발음해도 음운 변동에 대하여 잘 모르면 한국인과 의사소통을 할 때 서로 못 알아듣는 경우가 많다. 따라서 정확한 발음을 하기 위하여 한국어 음운 변동 규칙에 대한 교육이 불가결하다고 본다. 하지만 한국어의 음운 변동 규칙은 복잡하기 때문에 한 번에 다 다룰 수가 없다. 본 연구에서는 사잇소리로 인한 경음화 현상을 구체적인 연구 내용으로 중국인 한국어 학습자들은 실제 사잇소리 경음화 현상에 대한 인지도를 파악하기 위하여 실험 조사를 실시하고 이를 바탕으로 발음 교육 방안을 모색하였다.
본 연구는 외국어로서의 한국어 발음 교육에 대한 내용으로 교육 현장에 큰 도움을 줄 것으로 기대한다.
2장은 이론 배경 지식으로 사잇소리 경음화의 3가지 유형에 대하여 정리하였다.
3장은 오류 분석에 관한 내용으로 중국인 한국어 학습자가 사잇소리 경음화 현상에 대해 어떻게 인지하는지, 어떤 오류를 범하는지, 오류를 일으키는 원인이 무엇인지 등을 파악하기 위하여 실태 조사를 하고 결과를 분석하였다.
4장은 오류 분석의 결과를 근거로 학습용 어휘 등급을 재구성하고 효율적인 발음 교육 방안을 제시하였다. 사잇소리 경음화 현상에 대한 교육 방법과 교육 원리를 제시하면서 중국인 학습자의 한국어 능력 등급에 따라 각각 효율적인 발음 교육 지도안을 제안하였다. 마지막으로 발음 교육 지도안의 효율성을 확인하기 위하여 검증하는 실험도 실시하였다.
사잇소리 현상은 한국인조차도 상당히 어려워하고 혼란을 느끼는 표기법과 발음 방법 중의 하나이다(이정민, 2012). 왜냐하면 사잇소리가 일어나는 단어라도 그 단어 표면에 'ㅅ'을 표시할 수도 있고 표시하지 않을 수도 있기 때문이다. 특히 사잇소리로 후행 명사 첫 음절의 평음은 경음으로 변동하는 경우에는 표기법과 발음 방법의 차이로 발음 오류가 많이 나타나기 때문이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Because Korean and Chinese belong to different language systems, they show differences in various aspects: the inconsistency between notation and actual pronunciation in Korean is a big obstacle for Chinese learners. Even if you pronounce consonants and vowels correctly, you often do not understand each other with the understanding of phonological changes. Therefore, it is essential to comprehend the Korean phonological rules in order to pronounce correctly. However, the rules of phonological variation in Korean are complex and cannot be dealt with at once. In this study, we studied the Chinese learners' understanding of the 'sai-sori gyeong-eumhua' and put forward an education program based on this.
In the second part, we analyzed the three types of the 'sai-sori gyeong-eumhua'.
In chapter 3, we analyze errors to understand how Korean learners perceive the 'sai-sori gyeong-eumhua', what kind of errors are caused, and what causes the errors.
Section 4 reconstructs the vocabulary for learning based on the results of the error analysis and suggests effective pronunciation training. When instructing the teaching method and teaching principle about the 'sai-sori gyeong-eumhua', we propose an effective teaching plan for pronunciation according to the proficiency level of the Chinese learners. Finally, we conducted an experiment to verify the efficiency of teaching pronunciation instruction.
Quietness is one of the notations and pronunciation methods that are very difficult and confusing even for Koreans (Lee, Jung-min, 2012). This is because even if a word with sai-sori gyeong-eumhua' occurs, it may not appear at the surface 'ㅅ' of the word. Especially, when the first syllable of the trailing noun varies with the pitch of the first syllable, there are many pronunciation errors due to the difference between the notations and the pronunciation methods.
