국민 소통 강화를 위한 용어개선 연구 = A Study on Improving Food-Related Terms for Strengthening the Communication

국문 초록 (Abstract)

식품관련 정보자료 중 일반인들에게 어려운 용어가 다수 있고 특히 한자어 및 일본식 용어 등 난해한 용어들이 많음.이에 따라 대국민 제공 식품관련 정보자료 중 어려운 용어를 누구나 쉽게 읽고 잘 이해할 수 있도록 쉬운 우리말로 간결하고 순화된 말로 정비하기 위함. 이에 따라 식품공전,축산물의 가공기준 및 성분규격,건강기능식품공전,가공식품분류지침, 배추김치의 대장균군의 저감화 가이드라인,기타 식품관련 홍보 리플릿 등에 대해 국민들이 이해하기 쉬운 용어로 정비하는데 연구목적이 있음. 용어개선 기준은 수요자가 쉽게 읽고 정확하게 이해할 수 있는 간결하고 순화된 용어로 정비하며,현재 사용되고 있는 표준어를 우선으로 사용함.아울러 해석에 혼란의 여지가 없다면 친숙하고 일반화된 현대적 용어로 정비하였으며,개정이 필요하나 입법적인 의도와 다르게 이해될 수 있고 법률적으로 문제의 소지가 있는 경우는 협의할 수 있도록 제안함.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Government provides food-related information using the public institutions. However, there are many difficult terms, including Chinese and Japanese characters, in the information consumers cannot understand. This study is to change the hard food-related terms for consumers more easily and concisely. For the purpose of the study, reviewed are food-related hard terminologies from the following materials; i)Korean Food Standards Codes; ii)The Criteria for Processing of Animal Product and Component Specification; iii)Korean Food Standards Codes for Health Functional Food; iv)Guidelines for Classification of Processing Food; v)Guidelines for Reduction of Coli Form Group Bacteria of Napa Cabbage Kimchi; vi) other food–related leaflets. Criteria for improving terminology are that it should be easy to read and understand and the standard languages and terms refined have to be used by priority. In addition, the familiar and household terms are utilized if meanings of the terms keep the same. Finally, the study suggests that further discussions should be implemented in case interpretation of the terms causes legal problems and is understood widely dissimilar in legislative intent.
