This paper proposes a rotary MR damper designed for a suspension seat. For a performance analysis of the rotary MR damper, magnetostatic analysis is performed using the rotary MR damper model by applying current form 0[A] to 2.0[A] on the model. The torque of the rotary MR damper is predicted based on the results of the magnetostatic analysis. A trial-and-error for design variables of the rotary MR damper carried out.
