5세 유아의 창의성과 심리사회적 특성간의 관계: 사회적 능력, 정서지능, 자아개념을 중심으로 = Relationships betweem Creativity and Psychosocial Quality in 5-Year-Old Children: Social Competence, Emotional Intelligence, and Self-Concept

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between creativity, social competence, emotional intelligence, and self-concept in 5-year-old children. The subjects of this study were 117 5-year-old children in Busan.
Data were gathered with the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking, social competence test, emotional intelligence test, and the self-concept test. A t-Test, Pearson's correlations and multiple regression analysis were used for data analysis.
The results of this study were as follows: First, significant differences were not found between boys and girls in the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking. Second, creative children were higher on social competence and emotional intelligence than less creative young children. Third, emotional intelligence was a significant contributor to predicting creativity. Finally, the limitations and implications of this study were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유아의 창의성, 자아개념, 정서지능, 사회적 능력간의 관련성을 분석하고 창의성에 미치는 영향력을 분석함으로써, 유아의 심리사회적 발달 특성에 따른 창의성의 본질을 규명하고 유아 창의성 발달연구 및 창의성 교육에 대한 기초자료 및 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 만 5세 유아 117명을 대상으로 창의성검사, 사회적 능력검사, 정서지능검사, 자아개념검사를 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 밝혀진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 5세 유아의 창의성은 독창성 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났고 성별에 따른 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 창의성 수준에 따라 사회적 능력과 정서지능검사의 일부 하위요인에 있어서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으나, 자아개념에는 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아의 창의성에 영향을 미치는 심리사회적 변인을 분석한 결과 유창성에 대해서는 정서지능의 하위요인인 자기정서인식 및 표현과 자아개념의 하위요인인 인지적 능력에 대한 자아요인 순으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 독창성에 대해서는 정서지능의 하위요인인 자기정서인식 및 표현이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 창의성 전체에 대해서는 정서지능의 하위요인인 정서이용이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
