This study sought to empirically analyze the structural relationship between transformational leadership, self-management, exercise stress, and exercise persistence as perceived by Chinese university wushu athletes. Specifically, we analyzed the demographic differences according to the transformational leadership, self-management, exercise stress, and exercise continuation perceived by college wushu players with different general characteristics, and then analyzed the transformational leadership, self-management, and exercise stress perceived by college wushu players. , the structural relationship between exercise continuation is explored, and based on this, the mediating effect of self-management between perceived transformational leadership and exercise stress among college wushu athletes, and between perceived transformational leadership and exercise continuation, is identified. To collect data, a survey was conducted on 550 college Wushu athletes from Beijing Sports University, Shanghai Sports University, Wuhan Sports University, Chengdu Sports University, and Guangzhou Sports University in China, and a total of 509 copies of data were used in the final analysis. did. Data processing was performed using the SPSS 25.0 program, including frequency analysis, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, independent sample t-test, daily and monthly variance analysis, LSD post hoc test, and correlation analysis. AMOS 24 Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model analysis were conducted using the 0 program. The results derived from the analysis are summarized as follows.
First, there are differences in transformational leadership, self-management, and exercise stress perceived by Chinese university wushu players depending on gender. There are differences in self-management and exercise stress among Chinese university Wushu athletes depending on their grade. There are differences in perceived transformational leadership, self-management, exercise stress, and exercise continuation among Chinese university Wushu athletes depending on their exercise experience. Depending on the exercise level, there will be differences in four aspects of Chinese university wushu athletes: self-management, exercise stress, and exercise continuation.
Second, transformational leadership perceived by college wushu players was found to have a significant positive effect on self-management. Transformational leadership perceived by college wushu players was found to have a significant negative effect on exercise stress. Transformational leadership perceived by college wushu players was found to have a significant positive effect on exercise continuation.
Third, self-management of college wushu players was found to have a significant negative effect on exercise stress. Self-management of college wushu players was found to have a significant positive effect on exercise continuation.
Fourth, exercise stress among college wushu players was found to have a significant negative effect on exercise continuation.
Fifth, self-management exerts a mediating effect between transformational leadership and exercise stress, and between transformational leadership and exercise continuation.
