The effect of pulse current parameters on the composition and preferred orientation of Sn-Ni alloy electrodeposits was studied. The cathode current efficiency of P.C. electrolysis decreased with the increase of mean current density and off-time and was lower than that of D.C. electrolysis condition. The tin content of the alloy electroplated in the bath of low Sn ratio(0.2) decreased with increasing mean current density, while the one of the alloy with high Sn ratio(0.5) increased. The tin content of alloy increased steadily with off-time. The preferred orientation of the alloy changed from (110)+ (101) or (110) to (002) or (101) with increasing peak current density for the alloy deposits plated from both the bath of low Sn ratio and the one of high Sn ratio respectively
