지형학적 관점에서 본 논산 노강서원의 입지 연구 - 돈암서원과의 비교를 중심으로 - = A Study on the Location of Nonsan Nogangseowon from a Topographical Perspective - Focusing on Comparison with Donamseowon -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 지형학적 관점에서 문화유산인 논산 노강서원의 입지 특성을 밝히는 것이다. 이를 위하여 주변 환경과 부속건물의 지형인자를 분석하고, 인근 지역에 위치한 돈암서원과 입지를 비교하였다. ① 노강서원 주변 지형은 구릉, 하안단구, 선상지, 범람원이며, 노강서원은 구릉의 능선에입지한다. ② 노강서원은 구릉을 3개의 단으로 절토, 평탄화하여 건물을 배치하였다. 상단은 제향 건물, 중단에는 교육 건물, 하단은 기타 건물을 배치하여 위계를 구분하였다. ③ 부속건물의 표고 중 13m 이상은 침수로부터 안전하다. ④ 사면향은 남향이, 좌향은 남향이 우세하다. ⑤ 노강서원과 돈암서원은 표고를 이용하여 침수로부터 안전한 입지를 선택했다는 공통점이 있다. 반면, 돈암서원은 구릉의사면에 위치하고, 사면향과 좌향은 동향이 우세하다는 차이점을 보인다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to elucidate the locational characteristics of Nonsan Nogangseowon, a cultural heritage site, from a topographical perspective. We analyzed the surrounding environment and topographic factors of its auxiliary buildings, and compared the location with nearby Donamseowon. ① Nogangseowon is located on the ridge of a hill. ② Nogangseowon was built by cutting and leveling a hill into three sections and arranging the buildings. The upper section was for the sacrificial rites building, the middle section for the education building, and the lower section for other buildings, thus distinguishing the hierarchy. ③ The elevation of the annex building is ‘13m’ or higher and is safe from flooding. ④ Both the slopes and the jaw-Hyang (building orientation) predominantly face south. ⑤ The two seowons used the elevation to ensure safety from flooding. On the other hand, Donamseowon is located on the slope of a hill, and shows differences in elevation, slope, and jaw-hyang.
