      In order to determine the optimun temperature and time for the activation of acid clays, the specific area and preferential properties as index of the adsorbity were carefully studied.
      In this work the acid clays of Yong-Il Were treated with 20% sulfuric acid of 6 times in weight to the clay. Then the specific area of activated. clay was measured by A. A. I. method, preferential properties by E. A. I. Method, and the adsorbity was checked by S. E. A. I. Method. The optimum activating temperature and time for this work were varied in range of 3-4 hours at boiling point depend on the raw materials used.
