      In order to investigate the effects of Mn and Fe on the yield factors of rice in AKIOCHI paddy, the yield factors of 4 varieties (Paltal, Nongkwang, Nampoong and Norin 37) grown on pot filled with AKIOCHI soil and added Mn(NO₃)₂ 6H₂O(aprox. 30 ppm Mn), FeC_6H_5O·5H_2 O(aprox. 24 ppm. Fe) and H₂S(aprox. 1/50 of saturated) are examined.
      1. The number of panicles per plant were significantly decreased by the H₂S addition. In the presence of both Mn and Fe, the H₂S addition increased the panicle number though, the individual addition of Mn or Fe slightly decreased it.
      2. The number of grains per plant were most significantly decreased in the yield factors by the H₂S addition assumingly giving a decisive effect on AKIOCHI condition. In the presence of both Mn and Fe, the H₂S addition increased the number of grains, though, the individual addition of Mn or Fe slightly decreased it.
      3. The % of matured grains to total glumes was decreased by the addition of Fe or H₂S, but, it was increased by the addition of Mn.
      4. The weight of 1,000 kernels was decreased by the addition of H₂S, and no conscious effects of Mn or Fe on this were observed.
      5. The varietal differences in the effects of Mn, Fe or H₂S on the yield factors were not always consistent.
