The seat belt is an equipment to protect a passenger in a car crash. In order to perform the function of seatbelt, the seat belt anchorage should be integrated into the body. The strength of the seat belt anchorage is required in several regulations such as FMVSS, KMVSS, ECE R14. Recently, they can be evaluated by using computer simulation in the beginning of vehicle development. Usually, the seat belt anchorage is attached to body by using bolt, nut and spot weld. Therefore we should build more precise computer simulation model for spot welds, bolt and nut in order to evaluate accurate stiffness. The most failure modes are occurred in the area of spot weld. Therefore, this research focuses the modeling of spot welding for the seat belt anchorage to predict failure mode.
