共同体否定の向かう先 - 安部公房『他人の顔』論 -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 아베 고보의 장편소설『타인의 얼굴』(1964)의 가장 특징적인 두 가지 요소, 즉 내용적인 측면에서의 가면의 제작이라는 행위, 그리고 형식적인 측면에서의 주인공에 의한 수기라는 작품 체제를 분석의 축으로 삼아 주인공의 문제의식이 이러한 방법을 통해 어떻게 해소되었는지를 고찰하였다. 이 작품에서 가면의 제작과 수기의 집필은 결코 별개의 행위가 아니라 본질적으로 동일한 행위이다. 그러나 가면을 쓰는 것은 완전히 성격이 다른 행위이며, 글을 쓰는 행위와의 관계에 있어서도 마찬가지이다. 본고는 이 점을 바탕으로 하여 아베 고보의 본래의 의도로 여겨지는 공동체 부정의 사상이 의도치 않게 유토피아의 추구로 이어지는 프로세스를 규명하고자 하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper examined how the main character’s awareness of the problem has been resolved through his method, using the two most distinctive elements in Abe Kobo’s novel The Face of Another(1964), namely the production of masks in terms of content, and the notes by the main character in terms of formality, as the axis of analysis. In this work, the production of masks and the writing of notes are by no means separate acts, but essentially the same act. However, wearing a mask is a completely different act, and it is the same in relation to the act of writing. Based on this, this paper attempted to investigate the process of unintentional leading to the pursuit of utopia by the idea of community denial, which is considered the original intention of Abe Kobo.
