수도권 대학의 융·복합 교육 과정에 관한 연구 = 디자인 전공 분야를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

융합교육은 다양한 집합과 내재된 변화를 통해 얻어지는 통설적인 체계로서의 장점을 지니고 이는 신교육체제를 위한 상관적인 시너지관계로 승화시켜 교육목적의 효과를 극대화시키는 가치를 창출해낸다.
이에 최근 한국대학들의 화두는 ‘융·복합 교육’이다. 대학들이 교육에서 학과나 전공의 벽을 허물고 있다. 지금까지의 하나의 전공만 가르쳐서는 사회가 필요로 하는 인재를 양성하는데 한계가 있다는 판단에서이다.
서로 다른 영역과 계열에 속하는 전공들을 통합하여 새로운 수업 교과과정이나 학과·학부가 점차 개설되어지고 있는 추세이다. 기존의 대학에선 예술대학이나 경영대학의 경계가 뚜렷하여 문화예술경영에 관심 있는 고교생이라면 예술대학이나 경영대 중 하나를 선택하고 나머지 하나를 부전공이나 복수전공으로 들을 수 있었다. 대학가에선 융·복합을 미래 사회에 대학이 적응하기 위한 필수적 선택으로 받아들여지고 있으며 대학의 핵심 기능인 연구에서는 이미 학문영역을 넘나드는 학제 간 연구가 진행되어져 왔다. 이제는 연구의 융·복합이 교육으로 확산되어지고 있다.
따라서 융·복합 대학교육의 특성과 중요성을 중심으로 교육부의 대학 특성화나 선도대학 사업 등이 미래의 융·복합 교육수요에 영향을 줄 수밖에 없는 실정이다. 각 대학마다 최고의 경쟁력을 확보하기 위한 방안의 하나로 융·복합 교육으로의 전환이 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 융·복합 교육과정의 개발을 통한 새로운 학문의 기회를 제공하고 21세기형 창의적 인재를 육성하는 것이다. 연구방법은 다음과 같은 순서로 기술한다.
첫째, 융·복합교육의 특성과 중요성을 기술하였다.
둘째, 융·복합 대학교육의 현황을 조사하고 디자인 관련 교육과정을 각 대학마다 비교 및 분석하였다.
셋째, 융·복합 대학교육의 산학연계프로젝트 사례를 조사하여 각 대학의 경쟁력을 확보하기 위한 전략을 종합적으로 기술하고 시사점을 도출하였다.
결론적으로 최근 융·복합 대학교육 중심으로 학제 개편이 변화되고 있으며 융·복합 교육의 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A recent topic of colleges in Korea is ‘convergence education". Colleges are tearing down the wall of department or major. It is based on their decision that there is a limitation with the current system of teaching only one major in cultivating competent people that the society requires.
New courses or departments & colleges converging majors in different domains & affiliations are being created. In existing colleges with a clear boundary between art college or business college, high school students interest in culture & arts management could select one of art college or business and select the other as their minor or double major. In college circles, convergence is being accepted as an essential choice for colleges to adapt to future society. As the core functions of college are research and education, various interdisciplinary studies have already been conducted crossing over academic domains. The convergence of study is now spreading to education.
Accordingly, current circumstance is that college specialization of Ministry of Education or its advancement of college education program focusing on the characteristics and importance of convergence college education will inevitably affect the demand for convergence of education in the future. As one of ways to ensure the highest competitiveness of colleges, a conversion to convergence education is occurring. The purpose of this study is to provide new opportunities of study and cultivate the 21st century type creative people by developing convergence curriculum. The study method will be described in the following order.
First, it described the characteristics and importance of convergence education.
Second, it examined the present condition of convergence college education and comparatively analyzed design related curriculum of each college.
Third, it comprehensively described a strategy to gain competitiveness of each college and deduced an implication by examining the industrial-academic project cases of convergence college education.
In conclusion, it presented a way for ensuring competitiveness of convergence education in the midst of current situation where academic restructuring is changing focusing on convergence college education.
First, the government"s policy support for convergence education is needed.
Second, internationalization support is needed along with active convergence education of each college.
Third, an organic integration with businesses related to integrated education through internationalization is needed.
