일기속담에 대한 중,고등학생들의 인식과 과학수업에의 이용 = A Study on Secondary School Students` Recognition on Weather Proverbs and Application to Science Teaching

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 문헌조사를 통하여 일기속담들을 조사하고 이들을 과학 학습에 이용될 수 있는지를 고찰한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 참고문헌에 제시된 문헌들을 조사하여 일기와 관련된 130개의 일기속담을 추출하고 이들을 구름 및 하늘 모양, 바람, 강수 등의 기상현상과 동물 및 사람, 식물, 온도, 기타 자연 현상 등으로 분류하였으며, 계절에 따라서도 분류하였다. 둘째, 학생들의 일기속담에 대한 인지도 및 관심도를 유형별로 분석한 결과, 대부분의 학생들이 초등학교 시절에 일기속담을 처음 접하여 보았으며, 이들이 인지하고 있는 일기속담은 평균 10.6개(8.2%)였다. 일기속담에 대한 인지도는 동물 및 사람에 관한 내용이 가장 많았고 일기속담을 믿는다고 응답한 학생이 81.6%였으며, 대부분의 학생(91.3%)들이 과학 학습에 일기속담이 도움이 된다고 하였다. 일기속담 제시 후에 87.9%의 학생들이 날씨에 대한 관심도가 증가하였다. 셋째, 현행 과학 교과 과정과 연계하여 일기속담을 활용할 수 있는 단원을 조사한 결과, 국민공통기본교육과정 중 일기속담 적용이 가능한 단원이 있는 학년은 3학년, 5학년, 6학년, 9학년, 10학년의 5개 학년이었으며 특히 9학년에서는 일기속담을 기본 학습 자료 외에도 심화 학습 자료로 활용할 수 있는 단원이 있었다. 학생들은 일기속담들을 많이 알고 있지는 않으나 일기속담에 대한 관심도나 과학 교과 학습에 많은 도움이 된다고 인지하고 있으므로 일기속담을 일기와 관련된 과학 교과 단원에 투입·활용함으로써 학생들의 흥미나 학습 동기를 유발하여 교수 학습 활동의 효과를 신장시키고 나아가 조상의 지혜와 과학 정신을 계승 발전시키는 밑거름이 될 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 일기속담은 일기 관련 과학 교과 단원에서 그 활용 가치가 상당히 높다고 생각한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Though the investigation of the suggested references proverbs related weather were collected and considered the probability of the usage on science instruction. The results are as follows. 1) 130 proverbs related to weather were collected through the investigation of the suggested references. Most of weather proverbs are based on the states of sky, clouds, wind, precipitation, actions of animal, states of plants and the condition of people in daily life. they were classified according to weather types, natural phenomena and seasons. 2) According to the results of analysing the students` recognition and interests on weather proverbs, most of students heard weather proverbs in their elementary school years firstly through their parents, books, and teachers. However they have only heard a few. Also many students also tend to think weather proverbs have a scientific base because weather proverbs have been told by many people through the ancient time and correspond to their personal experiences. 3) Students responded that weather proverbs are useful for science learning on weather and can teach heritage and wisdom. After reading the suggested weather proverbs, their interests on weather proverbs were increased more than before reading. This is one of reasons why weather proverbs can be introduced to science classes. 4) Weather proverbs were considered related to science curriculum. The third grade has a Unit "Fine days and Cloudy days", the fifth grade, "Unit of Weather Change", the Sixth grade, "Unit of Weather Forecast", the Ninth grade, "Unit of Water cycle and Weather Change" and the tenth grade has "Unit of Earth". So the author consider that weather proverb materials can be used so effectively to bring about interest and motive in science learning.
