온라인 반시민성에 대한 척도 개발 연구 = A Study on the Development of Scale for Online Incivility

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to develop a scale for measuring incivility in online media and platforms. Based on the discussions of previous studies, this study divided online incivility into three sub-dimensions: ‘insulting dimension for individuals’, ‘hate dimension for specific groups’, and ‘continuous and repetitive bullying’. An expert Delphi method was conducted to verify the suitability of sub-dimensions, components of sub-dimensions, and questionnaire questions on incivility. Based on the Delphi method, a cross-sectional survey (N = 2000) was conducted. The results showed that the classification of the three sub-dimensions and the compositions of these sub-dimensions were statistically valid.
And the measurement model fit of the questionnaire questions for three sub-dimensions was also valid. Specifically, convergent validity and discriminant validity for three sub-dimensions and questions were statistically appropriate, securing conceptual reliability for sub-dimensions and scales. Based on these results, this study suggested that online incivility should be comprehensively constructed such as ‘insulting dimension for individuals’, ‘hate dimension for specific groups’, and ‘continuous and repetitive bullying’. In addition, this study is meaningful in that it proposed an online anti-citizenship scale that can quantitatively measure problematic communication occurring in online space
