With the rapid growth of the Internet and related application of the World Wide Web (WWW), there is much discussion on the application of this technology in educational environment. Success of implementing information technology at the campus is largely depend upon the professor's attitudes and managing skills.
The purpose of this research is to gather information how university professors use information technology; personal computer, pe-telecommunication, and internet. In addition, this research describes how professors percieve the usefulness of information technology as well as what factors influence them to use. Data were gathered via mail survey. 134 questionnaire were delivered to professors of Dong-Shin university. 70 respondents returned the questionnaire form. Date were analyzed by using SPSS-PC.
Forty-four (62.8%) respondents revealed that they had difficult experiences because of their poor computer skills. Among 70 respondents, only 23 respondents indicate they use internet. However, in terms of internet training, over 80 percent of respondents pointed that they would like to participate the training class if university offers. The most common discouraging factors of internet use that respondents pointed out are expense of use, inconvenient user interface, poor English skills and misused information by others. Training should be reinforced to activate information technology use in the campus.
