The purpose of this study was to investigate a relationship between physical characteristics and performances in KPGA golfers focused on a height and a weight. A total of 137 KPGA players were obtained the datum (height, weight and performance) from KPGA web site. For data analysis were used by the SPSS Windows 12.0 version. Datum were analysed by One-way ANOVA and correlations in between a independent and a dependent factors. The results were as follows. First, the result of ANOVA showed that the height(above 170cm) was more influencing compared to weight golf performance in the hit, drive distance, on green, putting, and birdie. Second, the result of Correlation showed that the optimal weight was 75 ~ 80kg in which players showed relatively excellent performance. In conclusion, although the results specific this study, not only golfer’s height was important of golf performance, but also weight was important too. The important things was not changeable players height but, weight was changeable factor in golfer. Therefore, we needed to effort to maintain an appropriate body weight in golfer.
