The components paradigm of the 7th music curriculum is divided into two parts, concepts and activities. Concepts part include rhythm, melody, harmony, texture, dynamics, tempo, tone-color, the other one does 'singing songs', 'playing instruments', 'composition', 'appreciation'. Futhermore, the aim of the 7th music curriculum is that making students be getting more sensitive musically through adoption various musical works and activities. On teaching-learning process, however, the various methodical dimension has been deficient and it has been being connected difficulty the accomplishment of goals practically. By doing so, this study offers a teaching-learning model can be used in music appreciation among musical activities.
The main material of this study is Grieg's 'Peer Gynt Suites', researcher extracted musical concepts in each suits which appropriate on teaching in music classes according to curriculum, and presented a teaching model using visual materials centered integration of musical concepts and activities
For this study, researcher, based on theoretical reviews and comparisons of various perspectives, studied 'the meaning of music appreciation in music education', 'music conceptual understanding', 'music teachers' role and students' duty in music appreciation classes', subsequently presented the meaning of visual materials, the practical values of that, and characters of 5 stages of the teaching model.
Practical teaching methods adopting visual materials has developed in this study, connected the learning concepts of 9th grade in music curriculum to Grieg's 'Peer Gynt' as shown that above. This research, along with, has been presented teaching methods bellowing. 'Morgenstimmung' was connected to 'the modes of dynamics', 'Ages Tod' and 'funeral march in rhythm', 'Anitras Tanz' and 'musical texture' related to Arabian, Korean dance based on different culture, and 'In der Halle des Bergoenigs' 'and 'tempo expression' . Also offered 'Bruderovet - Ingrids Klage' was connected to 'the changes of different melody lines', 'Peer Gynts Heimkehr' and 'the changes of harmony in theme parts', and last, 'Solevjgs Lied' and 'various tone-color' reviewing lyrics of Solevjgs' solo part.
This study was started that teaching-learning process in music classes has not been desirable on dimension to various works and activities and thus, researcher considered musical appreciation using visual teaching materials particularly, and presented advisable teaching model for helping understanding musical concepts in music works. Rather, it should be studied teaching methods enhancing student's sensitivity through activities and works.
