<AbsText> SUNSHINE and a light north-westerly breeze greeted Ash and his eighteen couples of the dog pack upon their arrival at the Londesbro' Avenue Gate on the 10th, a very favourite fixture in this hunt. Alter trying Scorboro' Rush and Moor Covert and running a fox to ground in an open drain, Pond Wood, another of Lord Londesbro's coverts, was drawn, and almost immediately the hillside resounded with a chorus of hounds. The red rover was then seen to bravely cross the main side with flowing brush at a steady trot, evidently collecting his abruptly disturbed thoughts as to his point, and well did he recall his geographical ideas from dreamland, and laid out for himself and the bustling pack in his rear a map of wide acres and dark sylvan solitudes, so dearly loved by most of his kind, to be scornfully passed until he should have esconced himself snugly in some of the lonely recesses of South Dalton, that stronghold of foxes, so well cared for by Lord Hotham. </AbsText>
