In this research, I developed the science history program as a part of science education for improving the nature of science and I figured out the effect of the program of the 1st grade in the hig hschool. Using the various materials. I developed the program which was composed 11 classes. I integrated the modern aspect on the nature of science, the epistemlological belief, the scholastic interest and thinking ability, and the integrated scientific investigation into the program. The result shows that program has positive effects on scholastic interest, and also it provides the modern viewpoint on the nature of science and the improvement of episemological belief. In the area of the nature of science, those who are in the concrete operational period have more thinking abilities than those who are in the formal operational period. In the other hand in the case of the epistemological belief, the group of the operational period has less thinking abilities than that of the formal operational period. The result especially shows that the program has a considerable impact on the learning achievement. Both content knowledge and thinking ability, two types of learning achievement, were improved by the program. It means that the program can stimulate the learners' scientific interests, concentration, and also improve the ability to memorize, and that the solution of the scientific investigation can be provided by the experience of the repeated thinking process and the practice of the thinking process on the program of science history.
