<츄미궁셩산녹>의 이본적 특성과 축양 양상 = A Bibliographical Study on the Newly Discovered Copy of Chuimisamseonnok

국문 초록 (Abstract)

<취미삼선록>은 후한 광무제의 황실 가문을 역사적 배경으로 하여 기존 가문소설의 보수적 흐름에 정면으로 반발하고 있는 문제적 작품이다. 이본으로는 현재까지 한중연본과 천리대본 2종이 알려져 왔으나, 연세대본과 서강대본 등 새로운 이본이 속속 출현하고 있어 전면적인 이본 연구가 필요한 상황이다. 이에 대한 기초 작업으로서, 본고에서는 새로 발견된 양승민본 <츄미궁셩산녹>을 대상으로 그 서지 사항 및 이본적 특성을 살펴보았다. 양승민본 <츄미궁셩산녹>은 지방의 보수적인 가문에서 여성들의 생활교양서로 수용되었던 것으로 추정된다. 그리고 이러한 목적에 저촉되지 않는 한, 의식적으로 과감한 축약이 시도되고 있다. 그 방향은 크게 세 가지로 요약된다. 첫째, 작품 서두를 비롯한 여러 곳에서 서사 단락 및 세부적인 사건의 진행 절차가 생략되어 있다. 둘째, 작품 전체에 걸쳐서 문장 표현 및 장면 묘사를 간략하게 처리하는 경향을 보여주고 있다. 셋째, 작중인물들의 대사와 삽입 서간의 내용에 대한 과감한 축약이 행해지고 있다. 축약의 결과, 여성적 글쓰기의 섬세한 면모를 잘 보여주고 있는 원작의 소설적 특성이 상당 부분 훼손되는 부작용이 드러나기도 한다. 양승민본은 애초부터 의도적인 목적 하에 대폭적인 축약을 도모한 이본으로서, 이와 같은 파격적인 축약본의 출현은 선본 여부의 평가와는 별도로 가문소설의 수용 양상을 이해하는 데 있어서 주목을 요하는 현상이라 할 수 있다.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

Chuimisamseonnok(취미삼선록) is a very unique styled novel which was written in 18th century. Through looking out on the women`s situation under the feudalistic family with critical attitude, it shows the absurdity of the feudal family system and searches for a solution to that problem. The author provides several methods for women to cope with their husbands and to live independently in the isolated place. Like this, Chuimisamseonnok speaks for women who were suffered from patriarchal system in Joseon dynasty. Until now, just two versions of manuscript were known to us; Cheonridae-bon(천리대본) and Hanjungyeon-bon(한중연본). Recently, professor Yang Seung-min found a new manuscript of it, and provided it with me. So, in this study, I tried to examine the bibliographical features of it. In conclusion, it is estimated as the most abbreviated manuscript of Chumisamseonnok that was ever known. The total length of it is just as half as the other ones. Many of scenes and dialogues are omitted of excessively shortened. In this point of view, it can be estimated as a very unique case. We can assume that it could be accepted more easily by the readers.
