국제유가가 한국 농식품 교역에 미치는 영향 분석 = The Impact of International Oil Prices on South Korea's Agricultural and Food Trade

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 국제유가가 한국 농식품 교역에 미치는 영향을 중력 모형으로 분석하였다. 1998년부터2021년까지 한국과 교역한 205개 국가를 바탕으로 농식품과 제조업 교역액을 비교하고, 농식품을 농업과식품으로, 농업을 과일과 곡물로 세분화해 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 국제유가와 거리의 상호작용은 농식품교역액에는 양(+)의 영향, 제조업 교역액에는 음(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 농업 교역은 유가 변동에 시간이지남에 따라 반응하지만, 식품 교역은 시간이 지남에 따라 반응하지 않았다. 과일과 곡물 교역은 유가변동에 영향을 받으며, 시간이 지남에 따라도 변화가 일어난다. 본 연구는 한국 농식품 수출 전략 수립에중요한 자료를 제공하며, PPML 분석으로 제로무역흐름을 처리하여 정확한 결과를 도출하였다.

This study examined the impact of international oil prices on South Korea's agri-food trade using a gravity model, analyzing data from 205 countries trading with South Korea between 1998 and 2021. Agri-food trade was segmented into agriculture and food, with agriculture further divided into fruits and grains. Results indicated that the interaction between oil prices and distance positively affected agri-food trade but negatively impacted manufactured goods trade. While agricultural trade responded to oil price changes over time, food trade did not. This study offers valuable insights for South Korea’s agri-food export strategies, utilizing PPML analysis for accuracy by handling zero trade flows.
