Kim, Kwang-Hee. 2000. On the Predication of Noun Unsubstantive and Its Argument Structure. Journal of the Linguistic Association of Korea, 8(3), 155-181. This paper explores the syntactic and semantic representations of the [N+hata(하다)] as a key to issues of classification of noun-unsubstantive and noun-substantive, syntacto-semantic features of verb hata(하다), and argument structure of [N+hata(하다)]. The analysis, set within the framework of Head-Driven Phrase Structure Grammar, treats the lexical and argument structure of complex verb [N+hata(하다)], and its grammatical informations. The basic method is to use the idea "Argument Composition". Argument Composition is the name for the syntactic composition of two argument-taking predicates, so that the higher predicate subcategorizes not only for the lower predicate, but also for the lower predicate's arguments.
