The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the ice pack and aluminum coated insulating liner in the corrugated box for maintaining the quality of baby leaf vegetable. The experiment was conducted inder room temperature for 2 days placed by three package methods as corrugated box with ice pack and insulating inner container, styrofoam box with ice pack, and corrugated box(control). The treatment with the ice pack and insulating liner board was identified to have maintained the relative environment. For the storage study of the baby leaf vegetable, its' experiment were evaluated fresh weight loss, external color change, and microbial population. Two treatments of ice pack with corrugated box insulationg inner container or styrofoam box were also effective in maintaining the overall quality, aerobic plate count and fresh weight loss as compared to control. And corrugated box with insulating inner container was more effective reducing for space and cost than styrofoam box. Prolonging the freshness even on corrugated box insulationg inner container will increase the potential of its sale ability in the domestic market.
