목표지향적 행위이론에 기한 보험설계사의 행위의도 분석 = A Study on Insurance Agent’s Ethical Intention (Behavioral Intention) by Applying Extended PBT and Model of Goal-Directed Behavior

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 보험상품의 불완전 판매와 관련하여 가장 중요한 부분이라 할 수 있는 설계사의 정보제공 관련 업무윤리를 분석해 보고 연구결과를 토대로 불완전 판매 축소 관련 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 개인의 행위 및 행위의도를 체계적으로 설명하고자 하는 대표적 이론으로 합리적 행위이론, 계획된 행위이론 그리고 이들에 대한 보완이론인 목표지행적 행위이론을 들 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 보험설계사의 업무수행 관련 행위의도를 이들 행위 관련 대표적 이론들을 적용하여 분석하였다. 행위의도를 상품정보 제공의도, 자신의 역량소개 의도 그리고 윤리적 행위의도로 구분하여 분석하였다. 또한 주관적 규범을 보완하여 초기의 주관적 규범 개념에 추가적으로 집단적 규범, 기술적 규범, 도덕적 규범을 더하여 모델을 수립하고 분석해 보았다. 연구결과로 우선 확장된 계획된 행위이론 부분에서 행위의도(정보제공) 중에 상품정보 제공에는 태도, 주관적 규범(초기)이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 이 가운데 태도는 음(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나, 상품정보 제공에 있어 고객우선주의 보다는 계약체결 가능성에 더 큰 비중을 두는 방향으로 임하고 있다는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 행위의도(정보제공) 중 자신의 역량소개에는 주관적 규범(초기), 집단적 규범(평판), 그리고 계약상 의무가 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나고 있으며, 이 가운데 주관적 규범(초기)은 음(-)의 결과로 나타나, 자신을 소개하는 데에 있어 계약이 체결되도록 하기 위해 역량을 과장할 가능성이 있다고 해석할 수 있고, 집단적 규범(평판)은 과장을 자제하도록 제어하며, 계약상 의무 역시 함부로 과장을 하지 못하도록 역할을 하고 있다는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 행위의도(정보제공) 중 업무관련 윤리에는 태도, 집단적 규범(평판), 그리고 지각된 행위통제가 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 결과를 보이고 있다. 설계사의 신념 등에 기한 태도, 집단적 규범(평판) 그리고 지각된 행위통제는 업무윤리를 견지하도록 하는데 영향을 미친다고 볼 수 있다. 다음으로 목표지향적 행위이론에서 열망에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 변수는 태도, 지각된 행위통제, 긍정적 기대감 그리고 과거경험이라는 것을 알 수 있다. 주관적 규범(초기), 계약상 의무, 전문인 규율은 열망과 영향관계에 있지 않다. 특히 부정적 기대감은 열망에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타나고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this research, we investigated insurance agent’s behavior intention using extended planned behavior theory and model of goal-directed behavior to find implication and ways to reduce so-called incomplete sale of insurance. The representative theories to explain behavior are planned behavior theory, model of goal-directed behavior. Regarding behavior intention, we divide it into three categories of intention of providing products information, introducing his/her capability, and acting ethically. Also, to redeem the subjective norm of PBT, we added collective norm, technical norm, moral code. In addition we applied the model of goal-directed behavior. The study results show that for the extended PBT, significant factors affecting providing products information are attitude, subjective norm. Of the factors attitude shows negative sign, which can be interpreted as an agent can put more emphasis on taking contract rather than helping client? For introducing his/her capability, factors of subjective norm, collective norm (reputation), and duty in terms of contract are significant. We can analyze the results as subjective norm can act as exaggerating his/her capability to induce to sing the contract while collective norm and duty in terms of contract act to control not to exaggerate his/her capability. Of the behavior intention, acting ethically is affected by attitude, collective norm (reputation), and perceived control behavior. Attitude based on belief, collective norm (reputation), and perceived behavioral control can be interpreted to act to keep insurance agents’ work ethics. The results of the model of goal-directed behavior show that factors affecting desire are attitude, perceived behavioral control, positive expectation, and past experience. Subjective norm, duty of contract, expert norm does not affect. relationship. Especially negative expectation does not affect desire.
