보복범죄 이해를 통한 경찰활동 논의 = The Discussion about Police Activity through the Understanding of Retaliatory Crimes

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The recognition of crimes is one of hard missions which cannot be achieved by solely activity of police. The finding of crimes through the rapid report can increase criminal capturing rate and the witness of crimes is absolutely an important role in redressing the order of society by proving criminal charge and making the criminal to be sentenced as guilty. However, if active reports or witnesses disappear with the fear to the retaliation after report or witness of crimes, it would be like that the police lost the insight for maintaining the public order. That`s the reason why the safe system related to victim and witness protections and the concern for retaliatory crimes should be made. This study discussed the role of police and effective eradication of retaliatory crimes and searched for various policies through the understanding and analysis to retaliatory crimes. For the above, we analyzed the characteristics, types, and cases of retaliatory crimes and suggested the current plan for dealing with retaliatory crimes and its improvement through discussing the role of police for safety procedure support of Restorative Community Justice, considering professional training for protecting victims and witnesses, and suggesting policies like consideration of police activity according to the characteristics of modern retaliatory crimes.
