유아특수교육기관의 발달 평가에 대한 장애 유아 학부모의 인식과 요구 조사 = A Study of parent`s recognition and need about developmental evaluation in early childhood special education programs

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 현재 우리나라 유아특수교육기관에서 이루어지는 발달평가에 대한 학부모들의 인식과 요구를 알아보고자 하였다. 구체적인 연구 목적은 첫째, 학부모들이 인식한 유아특수교육기관의 장애유아 발달 평가 실태, 둘째, 장애유아 발달 평가에 대한 목적과 필요성에 대한 학부모들의 인식 및 발달평가에 대한 요구를 알아보는 것이었다. 연구 목적을 위해 전국의 공·사립 유아특수교육기관 학부모 115명을 대상으로 한 설문조사 결과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 유아특수교육기관에서의 실태 조사에서 현재 많은 수의 학부모들이 발달평가 정보를 정기적으로 받고 있었으나, 아직까지 발달평가 자료를 비정기적으로 제공받거나, 전혀 제공받지 못하는 학부모들도 있었다. 유아특수교육기관으로부터 발달평가 정보 자료를 학부모들이 제공받는 시기는 다소 차이가 있었다. 유아특수교육기관에서는 탐구생활영역을 제외한 나머지 생활영역 자료를 주로 제공하고 있었으며, 학부모들은 교육기관으로부터 제공받는 모든 영역의 정보들의 유용성을 높이 평가하고 있었다. 유아특수교육기관에서는 대부분 유아의 행동관찰기록(일화기록) 형식이나 종합적 유아평가기록 형식으로 발달평가 정보를 제공하고 있었으며, 학부모들은 현재 유아특수교육기관의 발달평가 문제점으로 평가 방법 종류의 비다양성, 평가 자료를 가정에 제공하는 횟수의 부족, 평가 자료를 가정에 제공하지 않는 점 등을 지적하였다. 유아특수교육기관의 발달평가 목적 및 필요성과 요구 조사에서 대부분의 학부모들은 자녀들이 다니는 유아특수교육기관에서의 발달평가의 필요성을 절실히 느끼고 있었으며, 자녀의 행동문제 등을 위한 방안 마련과 개별화 교육계획을 위해 평가가 필요하다고 인식하고 있었다. 대부분의 학부모들은 요구조사에서 발달평가 정보 자료를 월1회 이상 제공받고자 하였으며, 학부모들이 가장 우선순위를 두는 영역은 사회생활 영역이었으며, 학부모들과 교육기관 모두 탐구생활영역에 두는 가중치는 그리 높지 않았다. 대부분의 학부모들은 유아행동 관찰기록(일화기록)이나, 종합적 유아평가 기록의 형식으로 정보를 제공받기를 원하였다. 본 연구에서는 연구 결과에 근거하여 유아특수교육기관의 발달평가에 대한 몇 가지 제언을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine parent`s recognition and need about of developmental evaluation in early childhood special education programs. This study is sampled 115 parents of children who have gone 15 preschools for young children with disabilities in South Korea. The results of this study are as follows. Most parents(7.65%) have been regularly offered information about developmental evaluation of their children, But Some parents(22.6%) have not taken or have taken irregularly. The first obtained information are children`s basic living habit and personal, homing and collective life, a social phenomenon and environment so on. It accord with parents` need. parents rated high in the utility of data of every domain. The types of information of evaluation which they are offered from teacher are the record of observation, total record of children`s evaluation. It accord with parents` need. Many parents think that children evaluation is necessary for IEP and intervention plan for children`s behavioral problems. The problems are that the kinds for method of evaluation are not various and some teachers hardly offers or don`t offer data of evaluation to family. Also, result of evaluation is too simple and parents have difficulty understand data or don`t know how to use data for their children`s education. First of all, they want parent-teacher consultation among the offering methods of information of evaluation and they want to take a information more than once per month. They also want to have various methods of evaluation. The findings of this study should be considered in planning evaluation for the young children with disabilities by directors and teachers of early childhood special education program.
