春坡遺稿 小考 = A Study on Chunpa Yougo

국문 초록 (Abstract)

『春坡遺稿(춘파유고)』는 조선 말기의 학자이며 문인인 진주(晉州) 강인회(姜寅會)의 문집이다.
이 책의 저자인 춘파공(春坡公)는 어려서부터 용모와 재질이 뛰어났으며 타고난 성품이 효우(孝友)가 돈독하였다. 5세에 모친을 여의고 슬퍼하기를 어른처럼 하였으며, 7세 때 마을 서당에서 공부를 시작하였는데 일찍부터 시를 짓는 재주가 드러나 사람들을 놀라게 하였다. 16세 때 학문에 열중하여 세미(細微)해진 가문을 일으키겠다는 포부를 가지고 『대학(大學)』과 『중용(中庸)』을 싸들고 산사(山寺)에 들어갔다. 2년 동안 공부하다가 18세 때 깨달은바가 있어 당시 성리학(性理學)으로 이름이 높은 기정진(奇正鎭)의 문하에 나아가 집지(執贄)하였다. 그 뒤 부친이 돌아가자 복상(服喪)한 뒤 가족을 이끌고 노사 선생이 사는 곳(長城)으로 이사하여 선생이 세상을 떠날 때까지 57년 동안을 받들고 섬기며 학문에 정진하여 그의 고제(高弟)가 되었다. 당시 노사선생의 문하에는 이희석(李僖錫)·박만채 (朴萬彩)·정면규(鄭冕奎)·문동황(文東璜) ·기문헌(奇文鉉)·안중섭(安重燮)·유성렬(庾成烈)·김유(金유)·이돈형(李敦亨)·조성가(趙性家) 등 쟁쟁한 유생들이 있었으므로 항상 그들과 도의로 교유하여 학문에 정진하였다.
공은 나이가 들수록 학문이 심오하고 인품이 높아갔으므로, 노사 선생이 연로하시자 공의 문하에 와서 학업을 계속하는 자가 많았다. 박용태(朴容泰)·기용연(奇容衍)·기홍연(奇弘衍) 등이 그 대표적인 인물들이다. 공은 이와 같이 학문에 전념하며 산수에 묻혀 안빈낙도하며 시문과 술로 여생을 보내다가 74세 때 세상을 떠났다.
공의 문집은 후손들이 수집하여 간직해오던 시문을 현손(玄孫) 복원(福遠)이 1974년에 간행하였다. 그리고 5대손 성창(聲昌)이 후손들에게 읽히기 위하여 그의 족형(族兄) 성섭씨(聲燮氏)에게 청하여 국역한 것을 정리하여 출간하였다.

"Chunpa Yougo" (春坡遺橋) is a collection of Inheo Kang(姜寅會)'s works, who was a scholar and a literary man at the end of the Chosen dynasty. Mr. In Heo Kang was a genius, he studied at 7 in the private school, he memorized all of the sentences he studied and he used to poem. His mother died when he was young, and he loved and served his stepmother as his own mother. He studied all of the Confucian classics when he was at 15, and he served Jeong Jin Ki (奇正鎭) as his teacher, who was the finest scholarin the Jang Sung City. After all, he studied with Mr. Jeong Jin Ki for 50 years, and became the most able student of his.
Chunpa Yougo is consist of 89 poems (29 Chul-gu: Chinese quatrain, 60 yul-si; a style of Chinese verse). 33 proses (6 letters. 8 miscellanies. 6 prefaces, 5 accounts, 2 written prayers, 7 funeral orations). and an appendix a t the end of the book. In Heo Kang studied for his life, and was not interested in being rich or famous. He loved write poems about beautiful sceneries and nature, and spended his time with his beloved friends. His work showed his free style of life.
Major part of Chunpa Yougo is the proses. Among the proses, miscellanies, specially the schemes take great part of his work. Samiungchakmun was the order of the King Chul Jong(哲宗) to rearrange of economic and military policy during famine. InHeo Kang wrote this large schemes when he was 56. it has 13,200 words. However, because of politics. these great schemes could not be used for the nation, and the people. which showed his hopes, and idea about them.
Chunpa Yougo is the finest work of poetry, at the same time one of the great plan for the people and the nation during famine. In Heo Kang was not participate in the politics, but he won respect in Honam province as a scholar. and many people were influenced by his works.
