『古事記』と『日本書紀』の神代傳承に現れている「木(樹·木)」のモチ-フは、天上世界や地上世界、地上世界や天上世界、地上や地下世界をつなぐ「疎通」や「移動」の媒介物として、そしてあるいは神たちの避難先、あるいは神や神たちが派遣する使者の神聖な初降臨地として描かれている。また「木」は、木そのままの姿で傳承に書かれている場合もあるが、柱や千木のような木材の變形形態として書かれ天上·地上·地下という、それぞれ違う世界への疎通や移動の觀念の産物としても描かれている。それは、國土の3/2が森林で、その森林と歷史を共にしてきた人-であるこそイメ-ジ化できる觀念ではないかと思う。また、上田正昭によると「日本の神觀念の特徵の-つとして去來性と遊行性が擧げられるが、日本の神は、常住不變の性格を持っているのではなく、いつも移動して崇拜されながら成長する」という。その時、神たちが移動通路のために賴る所が「木」であり、あるいはその「木」は神たちが鎭座する神木にもなる。このような「木」が、日本神話と代表されている『古事記』と『日本書紀』の神代傳承では天上·地上·地下という空間の中で神の疎通や移動のための觀念の産物としてイメ-ジ化され古代日本人たちに畏敬や崇拜の象徵的な存在となっている。

Motif of the ``tree`` described Moksin(木神) myth and Namu(樹·木) myth in the『Kojiki』and 『Nihon shoki』is medium connects between heavenly world andearthly world, earthly world and heavenly world, earthly world and undergroundworld as a bridge for communication and movement. Also, the tree is sometimesrefuge and the first scared land of gods and the messengers of god. In the myth,the tree is portrayed appearance of natural wood, however, itappears modified typesof wood as column is described product of conception for communication andmovement between heavenly world, earthly world and underground world. Thisconception can be imaged belong to their history with 2/3 forest of whole territory. Also, characteristics of Japanese conception of god (神觀念) are trading(去來性) andtraveling(遊行性). God of Japan always moves to other place and grows up throughworship of believer. At this time, the tree is a moving passage and is enshrinedgod. This tree imaged product of conception for communication and movement ofgod between heavenly world, earthly world and underground world in the 『Kojiki』and 『Nihon shoki』portrayed a symbol of reverence and worship.
