18대 국회 지역균형발전 관련 입법실태 분석을 통한 바람직한 입법 방향에 관한 연구 = A Study on the desirable legislative direction through the analysis of legislative status related to balanced regional development of the 18th National Assembly.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Balanced regional development means supporting the economic and social development of all regions in their efforts to achieve their full potential. The development of every area in a country is desirable. The development of areas leads to the prosperity of the people and proper use of material resources. Wide regional disparities existed between capital and non-capital areas. This study explored the legislative situation in relations to balanced regional development during the terms of 18th National Assembly. The study found indisputable evidence. Roh’s government and the 17th National Assembly, after 2004, have been tried to solve a severe disproportion between regions. However, the results of Roh’ government fell short of their expectations for balanced regional development. In contrast, the attitude of Lee’s government has been an interest and the 18th National Assembly also was very passive for balanced regional development as compared with Roh’s government and the 17th National Assembly. This study analyzed whole laws of balanced regional development which included revision and legislative laws as an empirical research.
However, this study focused on the legislative situation of the 18th National Assembly for the balanced regional development. This study suggests the desirable legislative orientation for the balanced regional development in the 19th National Assembly.
