The secondary fluid is circulated by natural circulation in a PWR type steam generator. The natural circulation is exposed for dynamic instability, so the evaluation of instability is important at steam generator in nuclear power plant. Simple steam generator experiments A numerical study was performed to evaluate the predictive ability of SPACE code about the dynamic instability of natural circulation loop. The simulation results were compared with experimental datas and results of CIRIN, which developed to evaluate the density wave oscillation of natural circulation loop for steam generator. Thus, in the case for needing more information about dynamic instability of steam generator, it is recommended to conduct additional evaluation of the instability using dynamic calculation program.
