This study was carried to investigate retention in paper-making process composed of UKP and AOCC with change of pulp mixture ratios according to variation of pulp stock temperature (30, 35, 40, 45, 50℃), pH (4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6), alum (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, ...
This study was carried to investigate retention in paper-making process composed of UKP and AOCC with change of pulp mixture ratios according to variation of pulp stock temperature (30, 35, 40, 45, 50℃), pH (4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6), alum (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5%) addition.
The pulp mixture ratio was UKP 100%, AOCC 100%, UKP/AOCC 50/50. The results of this experiment obtained were summerized as fallows.
1. The retention effects of UKP, AOCC were in the usual order UKP, UKP/AOCC and AOCC.
2. On temperature, The retention effects of UKP, and AOCC were highest at 45℃ and UKP/AOCC at 40℃.
3. On pH variation, the retention effects of UKP, AOCC and UKP/AOCC gave the best result below pH 5 at the optimum temperature.
4. The retention effect of alum addition per rosin addition abtained the best result in alum addition more that of nonaddition, and highest at the 2-3% percentage of alum addition.
