Purpose: In general, students in the Department of Security Services, have limited career choices that can utilize the major and they tend to agonize more than the students of other majors about career decision. The lower career choice of major related fields, tends to research about other non-related fields. At this time, new information about other fields are usually acquired from people around you. In particular, today``s parents are deeply involved in their children``s job and living so the attachment relationship with parents have big influence on children``s career choice. The purpose of this study is to research degrees of parental attachment on students in the Department of Security Services and identify the impact of career maturity. Also, this research manages to present the effective measures for career guidance of students in the Department of Security Services. Methods: This research was carried out a survey targeting 250 students of the Department of Security Services in seven different universities of Gyeonggi, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang regions. In order to verify the validity and reliability of questionnaire, we have modified and complemented through the meeting of experts. Then we``ve done factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis by SPSS ver 20.0 program. Through this process, the following results are derived. First, the effect of career Maturity and parental attachment depend on socio-demographic characteristics. Second, the parental attachment of Students who major in Security services affects the career maturity. Conclusion: Through this study, the parental attachment that represents mutual trust were appeared as higher percentage among students in the Department of Security Services. So we can assume that higher percentage of the positive parental attachment, the career direction and the job choice have influence on students. Therefore In this study, we proposed ways to provide job information to students and their parents through the career fair concerning students in the Department of Security Services.
