무역경영의 정체성과 성서적 기조 = The Identity and Biblical Basis of Trade Management

The purpose of this study is to correctly establish the identity and value of trade management and to emphasize a significant identity. In particular, the purpose of this study was to infer and clearly present the ideological basis regarding the nature and function of trade management that can be widely accepted from a biblical perspective. The results are summarized as follows. First, from the biblical perspective, trade is mostly negative. In other words, it is based on the background of criticism of the situation at the time, when they opposed God with a proud mind and fell into a decadent culture because of the profits derived from trade. It can be inferred that this view indirectly places special emphasis on corporate social responsibility and ethical management today. Second, this trend implies that the positive functional roles and responsibilities of corporations are increasing when we look at the present age, which is gradually inclining toward decadence. Since trade management is based on commerce between merchants between foreign countries, the current situation is more implicitly demanding the moral and ethical unlimited responsibility of companies. Third, in the case of business management, the Bible contains the meanings of evil plans and tactics, opposition to God's power, evil and uncleanness, lies or deceit from a negative perspective, like trade. This view can be seen as emphasizing the practical responsibility of the company to lead the corporate social contribution and sound citizenship and culture. In short, trade management puts the mission of the positive functional development of human culture and creation of national wealth beyond borders. Considering that today's corporate internationalization is an era that cannot be denied, it is time to open up a new horizon by referring to the biblical perspective of trade and management derived earlier.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 무역경영의 정의와 정체성에 관한 본류를 되짚어 이에 상당한 정체성을 재확립하고 강조하려는 취지를 배경에 두고 특별히 성서적 시각에서 널리 수용 가능한 무역경영의 본질과 기능을 추론하는 데 목적을 두었다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째 성서적 시각에서 무역은 대개 부정적 시각에서 언급되고 있다. 곧 무역에서 비롯된 부의 창출에 의지하여 교만과 거만한 마음을 앞세워 하나님을 대적하고 퇴폐적 향락문화에 빠졌던 당시 시대 상황에 대한 통렬한 비판을 기저에 두고 있다. 이러한 시각은 우회적으로 오늘날 기업의 사회적 책임과 윤리경영을 강조하고 있다고 추론할 수 있다. 둘째 날로 퇴폐적ㆍ향락적으로 기울어져 가는 현시대를 주시할 때 이러한 경향은 기업의 순기능적 역할과 책임도 더불어 가중되고 있음을 함의한다. 무역경영은 이국 간 상인 간 상거래를 근간에 두고 있는바 시대 상황은 가일층 당해 기업의 도덕적ㆍ윤리적 무한책임을 묵시적으로 요구하고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 셋째 경영의 경우 성서에서는 무역과 마찬가지로 부정적 시각에서 악한 계획과 책략, 하나님의 권능에 대한 대항, 사악하고 부정함, 거짓 또는 사기 등의 의미를 담고 있다. 이러한 시각은 기업의 사회적 공헌과 건전한 시민의식과 문화를 견인하고 양산하여야 한다는 기업의 실질적 책임을 강조하고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 요컨대 무역경영은 국경을 넘어 시ㆍ공간적 제약을 극복하는 가운데 인류문화의 순기능적 창달과 국부의 창출을 본원적 사명에 두고 있음에 재론의 여지가 없을 것이다. 오늘날 기업의 국제화는 거부할 수 없는 시대 상황이라고 보아 앞서 도출한 무역과 경영의 성서적 시각을 참조로 새로운 지평을 개진해 나갈 때라고 본다.
