다크 투어리즘 공간의 원형적 표현 특성 연구 -칼 구스타프 융의 원형 이론 중심으로- = A Study on the Characteristics of Archetype Expression in Dark Tourism Space - Focused on Carl Gustav Jung's Archetype theory -

(Background and Purpose) The development of mass media has resulted in the easy and quick delivery of disasters around the world, and the concept of tourism, called dark tourism, has arisen. The purpose of dark tourism is to indirectly experience death by visiting a tragic place, earning special values such as memorials and lessons. There is a growing interest in dark tourism spaces around the world, and research on dark tourism spaces is underway in many ways. In addition, domestic Japanese occupation, 4.3 and various historical background, the Space Planning of A Dark Tourism and tourism resources are under way. Since dark tourism has a conceptual material called "death," a variety of spatial expression methods and characteristics appear in space. Thus, a psychoanalytic approach is needed for conceptual spatial analysis. The purpose of this study is to reinterpret the dark touristic space through the psychoanalytical methodology of Archetype and to help utilize the newly constructed dark touristic space. (Method) First of all, through prior study, we summarize the concept of dark tourism and the common conceptual characteristics shown in different types of viewpoints to find relevance to intrinsic values and find relevance to the psychoanalytic approach. First of all, organize the Archetype concept presented by K.G Jung. Second, the characteristics of symbols and Archetype that appear in the Archetype theory are analyzed and subdivided. Thirdly, space keywords are derived by analyzing the method of Archetype and symbolic expression shown in the formative art. Earlier, drawn space, space case of a Dark Tourism on the foreign based on keywords and Archetype nature of the Holocaust by selecting the Archetypal Spatial relationship with the point of view. A Study on them. (Results) The following conclusions were drawn by the central analysis of spatial factors with Archetype characteristics. First, the 'preemptive symbolic space' that becomes insightful with the essential intuition that emerges by embodying the abstract concept, and the 'non-judgmental symbolic space' that leads to the creation of new social values as the phenomenon is judged through sharing consciousness and the concept is viewed through a new perspective. Thirdly, a "realistic symbolic space" appears, which refers to a tragic Archetype place and points to the nature of the place. (Conclusions) This study has become the basis for analyzing the inherent spatial characteristics of dark tourism space and hopes to use it as the basis for the design method of dark tourism space currently being constructed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

(연구배경 및 목적) 대중매체의 발달은 세계 곳곳에서 일어난 재난을 쉽고 빠르게 전달하는 결과를 가져왔으며 다크 투어리즘이라는 관광 개념이 발생시켰다. 다크 투어리즘의 목적은 비극적 장소를 방문함으로써 죽음을 간접적으로 체험하면서 추모와 교훈과 같은 특수한 가치를 얻는 것을 말한다. 세계적으로도 다크 투어리즘 공간에 대한 관심이 커지고 있으며 여러 방법으로 다크 투어리즘의 공간에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 국내 또한 일제 강점기와 4.3 사건과 같은 아픈 역사를 지닌 역사적 사건들이 있으며, 다크 투어리즘 관광 자원 활용에 관한 공간 계획은 이미 진행 중이다. 다크 투어리즘은 ‘죽음’이라는 관념적 소재를 가지고 있기 때문에 다양한 공간 표현 방법과 특성이 공간을 통해 나타나게 된다. 따라서 관념적 공간 해석을 위해 정신 분석학적인 접근이 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 정신분석적 방법론인 원형의 개념을 통해서 다크 투어리즘 공간을 새롭게 해석하고 새로이 건축되고 있는 다크 투어리즘 공간 활용에 있어서 도움이 되는 데 목적을 둔다. (연구방법) 우선, 선행 연구를 통하여 다크 투어리즘의 개념을 정리하고 다양한 관점에 의한 유형들에 나타난 공통된 관념적 특성들을 요약 정리하여 본질적 가치와의 관련성을 찾아 정신 분석적 접근에 대한 타당성을 찾는다. 첫째, 칼 구스타프 융이 제시한 원형의 개념을 정리한다. 둘째, 원형 이론에서 나타난 상징과 원형의 특성을 분석하여 세분화시킨다. 셋째, 조형 예술에서 나타난 원형적, 상징적 표현 방법을 분석하여 공간 키워드를 도출한다. 앞서 도출한 공간 키워드와 원형의 특성을 바탕으로 해외 홀로코스트에 관한 다크 투어리즘 공간 사례를 선정하여 원형적 관점으로 공간 관계성을 분석하여 연구한다. (결과) 각 사례의 원형적 특성을 통해 공간적 요소를 중심적으로 분석하여 아래와 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 추상적 개념을 구체화함으로써 나타나는 본질 직관을 가지고 통찰하게 되는 ‘선험적 상징 공간’이 나타나며, 둘째, 의식의 공유를 통하여 현상을 판단하고 새로운 시각으로써 개념을 바라보게 되면서 새로운 사회적 가치로의 창출을 이끌어 내는 ‘비판적 상징 공간’이 나타난다. 셋째, 비극적인 원형적 장소를 의미하며 본질을 가리키며 정체적 공간이 나타나는 ‘실재적 상징 공간’이 나타난다. (결론) 본 연구는 다크 투어리즘 공간이 가지는 본질적 가치가 내포된 공간 특성들을 분석할 수 있는 척도가 되었으며, 현재 건립되고 있는 다크 투어리즘 공간 디자인 방법에 있어서 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다.
