Corporate culture is the overall concept in which corporate, members are sharing, such as unique value system, consciousness, structure, and system of the corporate. For the management of business, this is very important part and must be fundamentally studied. In order to study the evaluation model of corporate culture, this thesis provided an evaluation model of corporate culture by component, type, and level of the corporate culture and the detailed studies were carried out as follows.
First, the relationship between component and type of corporate was analyzed using fuzzy system. Second, the pattern analysis of the components and the level of corporate culture was conducted by fuzzy ID3. The ultimate objective of these studies is to provide fundamental data to be used in the evaluation of corporate culture or to be used in the design and establishment of system of corporate culture. The data for this study were obtained from the questionnaire surveys from forty-nine small and medium-sized companies nationwide. The total three hundred and fourteen survey subjects consists of one hundred and thirty staffs, one hundred and thirteen managers, and seventy-one directors. The reliability of this questionnaire was analyzed by Cronbach and it was verified.
In this thesis, the components of the corporate were shared values, strategy, structure, systems, staff, skills, and leadership style. The types of corporate culture included power orientation, role orientation, task orientation, and person orientation. The levels of corporate culture five years ago, present, and after five years were answered by the survey subjects.
In order to use the data of three hundred and fourteen questionnaires as a whole or by position, the average difference of two groups was analyzed. The difference between staff and manager was not significant but both the difference between staff and director and the difference between manager and director ware significant. As a result, the data by position were for when analyzing the relationship between component and type of corporate cultures using fuzzy system in this study.
The results of the analysis of the relationship between components and types of corporate culture using correlation analysis, regression analysis, and fuzzy system are as follows. In the correlation analysis, the correlation coefficient between component and type of corporate culture was obtained to understand the cross correlation. The results of the analysis showed that most of the components were significant. In the regression analysis, it was studied that how much the component of corporate culture affected on the type of corporate culture. In case of staff, seven components significantly affected on the type of corporate culture. Leadership style for manager and management system for directors. In the correlation analysis between components and type of corporate culture using fuzzy system, it was the identification problem which can obtain fuzzy system when fuzzy input matrix of evaluation subjects and component of corporate culture and fuzzy output matrix of evaluation subjects and type of corporate culture are given. This is used to get the fuzzy output matrix easily using the existing fuzzy system when new fuzzy input matrix is given. The analysis results by position was as follows.
First, when of staff evaluation modelling was 0.59, the total error was 15.41 and it was 23.88 for reviewing the model. Second, when of manager evaluation modelling was 0.58, the total error was 15.16 and it was 19.54 for reviewing the model. Third, when of directors evaluation modelling was 0.64, the total errors was 7.99 and it was 17.03 for reviewing the model.
The results of the relationship between components and level of corporate culture and pattern analysis using correlation analysis, regression analysis, and fuzzy ID3 were as follows. The results of correlation analysis showed that the relationship between component and the level of corporate cultures five years ago, present, and after five years were significant for all items by each position. The results of regression analysis showed that the components of corporate culture which affected on the level of the corporate culture five years ago, present, and after five years were members in case of staff, leadership style in case of managers and members in case of directors. The results of the pattern analysis of the components and the level of the corporate culture using fuzzy ID3 in 49 companies showed that 21 if-then rules were obtained. The obtained 21 if-then rules were verified by experts and decision making tree was made. The recognition rate of the pattern analysis results of the output data used in this study by if-then rule was 93.87%.
This thesis is related to the relationship and pattern analysis of the evaluation model of corporate culture. It is anticipated that the results of this thesis is utilized in design and establishment of corporate culture among the small and medium-sized companies.
