일본 동경대학 가을 입학제 도입과 시사점 = The Introduction of Tokyo University‘s Reform Plan about Autumn Enrollment and Instruction to Korea

국문 초록 (Abstract)

2008년부터 일부 대학원에서 총장 재량으로 9월 입학을 병행해온 일본에서는 최근 동경대학이 5년 후부터 가을 입학제를 도입할 것을 발표하였다. 이 연구는 최근 쟁점이 되고 있는 동경대학의 가을 입학제 도입 방안을 살펴보고 그 특성을 분석하여 한국에의 시사점을 제시하고자 시도되었다. 이를 위하여 가을 입학제의 논의 배경과 도입에 따른 장단점을 살펴보았고, 방안에 대한 일본 내 각계의 반응도 검토하였다. 가을 입학제는 전 학생에게 국제적 경험을 부여하는 것을 목표로 학습체험을 풍부하게 하는 유연한 교육시스템을 지향하며, 발생한 공백기간(Gap Term)을 입학자 신분부여 후 체험활동으로 활용하며, 조기졸업을 장려한다. 또한 재정수요와 대학간 협력, 기업과 정부의 협조를 요한다. 결론에서는 동경대학의 가을 입학제도입이 한국 대학에 주는 시사점에 대하여 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to introduce Tokyo university's reform plan about Autumn Enrollment(hereinafter referred to as ‘TAE’) and suggest the instruction to Korea. This article composed of five chapters; introduction(Ⅰ), the backgrounds (Ⅱ), introduction plan, advantages and disadvantages(Ⅲ), reactions of related groups and issues and problems
(Ⅳ), and conclusion and suggestion of this TAE.
For this aim of research, the various materials were analyzed. For example, the Report(Committee of Tokyo Univ), books, and articles, etc. And interviewed with Professor about this TAE in Tokyo University.
The best advantages of the TAE is the ‘The promotion of international exchanges’, and the worst disadvantages is ‘the Cost during Gap Term’. But through the ‘Gap Term’, between April to September, students are encouraged to participate in research or learning various activities.
For the change to autumn enrollment to have the desired outcome for the University of Tokyo, it is necessary to obtain understanding and cooperation from outside of the university(Other Universities, Society and Government)to establish a framework to make this possible.
As a conclusion, when Korea consider the timing of university entrance, it should not be line fleet type by government but autonomous reform type by university.
