獨逸俚諺 = A Study on The German Proverb (Ⅱ)

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In Germany, proverbs are so commonly spoken, in the daily life that the proper knowledge' about the proverb is essencial to the full understanding of the German life and literature.
When we examine the proverb minutely, we find so many peculiarities hidden in it.
In this study, I tried to make clear variours rhetorical devices and techniques used in it to' increase the effects, such as simile, personification, paradoxy, irony, word-repeating, word-' contrasting, rhyme, rhythm, parallelism etc.
And the characteristics of the proverbㅡself-evidence, morality, partialityㅡare also'
studied, based on Seiler's definition of the proverb.
