거버넌스와 선교와의 관계 : 아프리카 가나 IT(Information & Technology) 선교를 중심으로 = Relationship between Governance and Mission : Focused on Information & Technology Mission in Ghana, Africa

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Of the 54 countries in Africa, 29 are among the least developed countries designated by the United Nations. Africans are unable to get out of poverty due to various structural problems. Fragmented interregional egoism and tribalism prevalent in African society are also playing a big part. However, the most crucial factor impeding economic growth in Africa is the lack and weakness of an “institutional foundation”. For a country to properly establish such an institutional foundation, it is necessary to properly form “governance,” a political and social environment for systematically mobilizing the factors of production that the state possesses. In this respect, Ghana is evaluated as having good governance to earn the trust of other countries.
This paper analyzes the relationship between governance and mission, focusing on the IT (Information & Technology) mission that the researcher conducted in Ghana, Africa. To this end, the researcher first examines the effects of good governance formed in spreading Christianity in Ghana by the Basel Mission in the 19th century and indigenous governance at various levels on the mission. Finally, the researcher presents a missionary insight using the governance of Ghana and Korea observed in the IT mission process.
