일본차문화에서의 고려다완 수용과정에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Acceptance Process Goryeo Dawan in Japanese Tea Culture

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 고려다완의 일본 유입 시기와 경로 그리고 와비차와 고려다완의 관계와 누가 고려다완을 가장 유행시켰는가에 대하여 고찰하였다. 고려다완은 1506년 11월 13일 산조니시 사네타카의『실륭공기』에 처음 등장하지만, 그 이전인 무로마치 초기에 일본으로 유입되었을 것으로 추정할 수 있다. 일본에 유입된 고려다완은 다케노 조오가 추구하는 와비의 미가 생겨남에 따라 화려한 당물보다는 소박한 고려다완이 일본의 명물로 자리 잡게 된다. 고려다완이 다회기에 처음 등장한 1537년부터 고려다완의 사용횟수는 서서히 늘어나지만, 여전히 다회에서 차지하는 비중은 그다지 높지 않았다. 하지만 센 리큐 이후 고려다완은 일본 다회에서 빈번하게 사용되기 시작한다. 고려다완의 특징은 화려하지 않고 온화하며, 품위가 있는 무미의 진리를 끊임없이 나타내는 아취가 있다. 센 리큐의 와비차를 단적으로 나타내는 키워드는 ‘무일물’이다. 센 리큐는 스승인 다케노 조오의 와비정신을 이어받아 와비차를 완성하는데 필요한 것이 고려다완이었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper explored when and how the Goryeo Dawan (GD) was introduced in Japan, the relationship between GD and Wabi tea, and who brought the GD in to vogue. GD first appeared in 『Silung Gongi』 by Sanetaka Sanjonnishi on November 13th in 1506, but it can be presumed that it was introduced to Japan in the early Muromachi period before that. As the beauty of Takeno cho's Wabi was created, GD became a specialty of Japan rather thana fancy party while pursuing anappropriate Dawan for Wabi. Since 1537, the number of using GD has been gradually increased, but the porportion of it was still not very high. However, after Sennorikyu, GD has been frequently used in Japanese party ceremonies. The characteristics of GD, Sennorikyu used, are not fancy, but represents a gentle and dignified truth. The keyword representing Sennorikyu'sWabi tea is 「muilmul」. With the spirit of Taken cho, Sennorikyu needed GD in order to complete Wabi tea.
